Hideki’s just like every other guy in the 22nd century. He just wants a good job, a good car, and a sexy robot girlfriend to call his own. Until he lands the job, he’ll never be able to afford his own 'Persocom' companion. Hideki’s luck changes when he discovers Chi - an adorable but seemingly stupid Persocom - tied up in a pile of trash.
His first robot companion turns out to be a lot more responsibility than he expected, and she gets him into quite a few embarrassing situations. It’s 'boy meets girl' for the cyber age. |
Manga 2
Hideki’s luck with girls seems to be turning around. First his sexy test-prep teacher asks to sleep over, then the landlady starts doing him favors, and even the really cute girl from work goes out with him.
And then there’s Chi. She’s the artificially intelligent Persocom that Hideki found, and as she continues to grow and learn, she hopes that Hideki will be her one true love. She’ll do anything thing for Hideki, so when he tells her he’s low on money, she takes a job. But when Hideki finds out what she’s been paid to do, he’ll do anything to bring her home. |

In the future, boys will be boys and girls will be robots. Like every other guy, Hideki just wants a cool job, a hot ride, and a state of the art robotic girlfriend. But pretty Chobits don’t come cheap, and Hideki is out of luck, until he finds a cute one in the garbage. But even in the future, you get what you pay for and he soon discovers that real women aren’t the only ones who are high maintenance. |

| When Hideki initially found Chi, his persocom companion, he knew that her original owner might come looking for her. Now, that moment Hideki feared has finally come to pass, and what happens is completed unexpected. But even as he risks losing Chi, Hideki makes a new friend when he inherits another laptop persocom. Many questions are answered at last, and even more are posed, in the fourth volume. |

Chi is kidnapped on her way to work and Hideki embarks on a frantic search for his missing persocom. Tracking Chi down is only a matter of time but Chi is not willing to wait, and reveals a defense mechanism that is linked to her mysterious past. |

Can a person be truly happy with a persocom? Hiroyasu Ueda believed he could be in fact he fell in love with and married his persocom. But one fateful day tragedy struck and Ueda was separated from his true love.
It's often said that persocoms are more perfect than humans. Better looking, better thinkers and better lovers, even. Can someone who once loved the perfect (if artificial) woman be fulfilled in a relationship with a mere human? |

Hideki's personal attachment to his one and only persocom is deeper than he ever thought imaginable and he must now come to grips with his true feelings for Chi. He always knew Chi was different than other persocoms, however, her past has remained a mystery until now. |

| Chi has developed quite a bit since Hideki found her lying in the garbage one fateful morning. She's learned to speak, work in a pastry shop, go shopping and possibly love? After much soul searching, Chi comes to the realization that her feelings towards Hideki are nothing short of love. Her strong emotions prove to be a threat to persocoms everywhere and two outlaws are set on deactivating her before she can do any more damage. |
